I’m Marcos Bustos. I build websites for a living in Valencia, Spain, and I write everything on Vireltify.

What I actually work with

I run my own small web studio, and the sites I am responsible for day to day are my own: this blog, a second blog about web hosting, my studio site, a static lead-generation site, and a small SaaS I wrote myself. That last one lives on a Hostinger KVM VPS running Node behind Caddy, with systemd units keeping it alive, and it is where I have learned the most, mostly by breaking certificates at inconvenient moments.

Around those: shared hosting and a VPS at Hostinger, static deployments on Cloudflare Pages and Netlify, domains at DonDominio and IONOS, one Shopify store and one Wix site that I eventually shut down, a static HTML site migrated into WordPress, and a hundred WordPress posts edited in one go through the REST API. Search Console, AdSense and Google Business Profile are open most working days.

Where AI comes in

I build with Claude Code: scaffolding multi-page sites, refactoring, writing small scripts, doing the boring parts of a migration. I am not a believer or a sceptic about it, I just use it, and a fair amount of what I write here is about the gap between what these tools promise and what they do when you point them at a real project with real deadlines.

What I write here, and what I won’t

I write about building and running small sites with AI in the loop: tools I use, workflows, SEO on my own blogs, and how a small site pays for itself. I do not write about client projects, I do not publish income claims, and I do not call anything a top pick unless I have used it. The full set of rules is in the editorial policy.
